Gratitude

As a strengths coach, I like to nudge all of my life practices towards what is empowering and generates positive energy for us on an emotional, mental and physical level.

We have so many energy-sucking devices, feeds, news channels, people, relationships around us that we need all the firepower of joy and positivity to get through the day.

Join me this week on a simple list-making exercise.

Choose one thing to be grateful for, for the rest of this week.

It can be anything, make it specific or vague or grandiose it’s your list, own it!

Off the top of my head, I am grateful for, physical health, My beautiful family, my faith, beautiful art, fresh air, sunshine, taste buds, eyesight, hands, peace of mind, stillness, wellwishers….you get the drift.

Now pick a day and add one of the items in front of each day like this:

Wednesday – Physical health

Thursday – My beautiful family

Friday – My faith

Saturday – Beautiful art

Sunday – Fresh air

Monday – Sunshine

Tuesday – Tastebuds

All we need to do together is to be grateful all day, over and over again for the designated item for that day.

I say this because at the end of the day it will dawn on us how deep that blessing truly is because we sat with it all day long. We will surely be reminded of how many things we take for granted and I’m hoping that this becomes habitual.

I wish for us to never run out of items to be grateful for, for the rest of our lives.

Sending you love and light.
